I was born again as a child of God through
faith in Jesus Christ in September 1979. My wife Cynthia and
I celebrated our 30th anniversary in April 2010. We are
parents of two children, Joshua, age 28 and Katie, age 16. I
enjoy Music Theater, particularly when my daughter Katie is
involved. I enjoy watching movies with the family, outdoor
activities as well as hunting, fishing and golf. I worship
at Cascade View Covenant Church because the word of God is
preached and for its spirit of hospitality and family. I
serve in leadership because I believe that the Spirit of God
wants the members of Cascade View Covenant Church to take
their spirit of hospitality into the Community and the world
and share the love and good news according to Jesus Christ.
I hope to help equip the Saints for this task. I believe
this is one way Cascade View Covenant Church fulfills Jesus
Christ’s Great Commission.

I am a supervisor at Western Pacific Building
Materials in Portland, Oregon. I have been married to my
wonderful wife, Marisa, for 9 years and together we have 4
children: Hailei, Rielei, Hudson, and Rykker. My family and
I have been attending CVCC for 9 years now. Growing up, my
wife and I didn’t go to church much, I went while visiting
my Dad some weekends, but never with my Mom which is where I
lived most of the time! My wife and I heard about CVCC from
my Mother in Law, who had been attending the church
already. We meet with Pastor Jim one evening and by the
following Sunday we decided to try it out. After our first
Sunday service we were hooked and knew this was the place
for us. We decided we wanted to make a difference in the
church so we found some ministry options. We both started
helping out in the nursery, and I went on to also join
set-up team and run the sound board. I am always willing to
serve the church where ever I can. I recently joined the
Leadership Team hoping to make a difference in my life as
well as others.
I have been married to Peder Gunderson for 18
years. I am the mother of three children; Emily, Nathan and
Grace. I asked Christ into my life as a young child growing
up in a Christian home. I am privileged to teach Math and
Spanish at Hockinson High School. Peder and I have attended
Cascade View Covenant Church for 10 years. I am excited to
see what God has in store for Cascade View as we settle into
our new location.
I am the wife of Doug and mother of Berit.
I have been active in church since I was a very young child.
I was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church
Missouri Synod. I have been a Sunday school teacher and I
have directed the Sunday school. I have also worked with
middle school kids and high school kids. I have been a
leader in Young Life and have also worked with teen moms in
Young Life. I have been to Africa as part of a mission team.
I have volunteered my time for the last 4 years at
Southwest Medical Center in the intensive care unit. I
believe it is important to give back to your community and
support the common good as best you can. I continue to be
God’s project....I look forward to the next opportunity!
