Cascade View Covenant Church is a small missional church, growing and taking on God size tasks!  The church started in late 1999, first meeting monthly in a living room; it steadily grew needing a bigger facility in which to worship.  By Easter of 2000, we began weekly services at Pacific Middle School.  We then we moved to the auditorium of Wy’East Middle School, where we felt the calling to find a 24 hour facility to better serve the community and our own church body.

Since the church was established, we have been able to serve our community as well as places abroad.  Currently we sponsor a church plant in Russia.  Several members of our church body have also been able to participate in different missions across the globe.  We feel every country should know about Jesus Christ and the love he has for us.  The Church has also been a corporate sponsor and has raised funds for Relay for Life, as we have had several members of our congregation face the battle of cancer.  Some survived and some are dancing in the Heavens! Touched by the need for cancer awareness and the need for medical care, Simon Luthi, a congregation member and worship team member planned a Night of Hope and Faith.  With Cascade View's own worship team and help from other local churches, this non-profit benefit raised more than $25,000 that went to help people pay for their cancer treatments and medications.

Here are some other adventures we have helped out with, sharing and seeing the love of Christ:

  • Thanksgiving Baskets - Every year Cascade View sponsors local families who cannot afford a Thanksgiving feast.  We donate food and money to prepare baskets and then deliver them to the families in need.  This has given us opportunities to reach out and pray with these families, hoping to restore a little faith in their lives.

  • Operation Christmas Child - Congregation members fill shoe boxes with items such as: pencils, candy, small toys, and personal hygiene items.  They are then shipped to boys and girls in several different countries allowing these children to receive gifts as well as special prayers that have been placed upon each box.

  • Operation Night Strike - Operation Night Strike is a local mission to help the homeless and needy.  Volunteers serve by washing the feet of homeless people just as Jesus did for the 12 disciples, passing out clean socks, and listening to stories of hopelessness and despair.  We are able to pray with these individuals and share the love, forgiveness, and hope Jesus Christ gives to each one of us.

Cascade View Covenant Church believes that serving in the church is just part of the walk in faith, and that taking care of each other and our community it truly what Jesus wants us to do!
